Lieux de Mémoire is a photographic travel journal that focuses on places on memory, relic culture and the living’s connection to the dead. Helmed by husband and wife team, Nick and Teaghan Hall, the journal brings together two creatives, each with their own unique perspective on travel. The pair have over 10 years of experience working across art, culture and new media journalism collectively, with a refined appreciation for the sentimental, obscure and macabre.

Teaghan Hall

Teaghan Hall is a Sydney-based writer and researcher. One half of Lieux de Mémoire, Teaghan brings an unbridled passion for relic culture and Victorian-era history, specialising in memento mori art history and jewellery. Her work has featured in The Australiana Society and The Limner Company.

Nick Hall

Black and Whites & Baguettes

Nick Hall is an award-winning journalist and editor from Sydney, Australia. An avid photographer, Nick’s brand of visual storytelling is soft and vivid, focusing on the contrast between natural elements and brutalist architectural references. He shoots on 35mm film with his trusty Canon AE-1.
